The Universidad de La Frontera is a public, state, secular, pluralist, inclusive and autonomous higher education institution located in the Araucanía region, which safeguards and values cultural heritage and human and sustainable development. Its mission is to generate, develop and transmit knowledge in the various areas of knowledge and domains of culture. It recognizes, promotes and incorporates the worldview of indigenous peoples, and especially, the intercultural relationship with the Mapuche people, promoting respect and equitable development. It promotes and contributes to the country and the Araucanía region, assuming a preferential and pertinent action with it, through training, science, technology, innovation, creation and connection with the environment. The Universidad de la Frontera has several campuses in the Araucanía Region, 2 in the city of Temuco, one campus in the city of Angol and another in the city of Pucón.
