Implementation or modernization of University Defenders: Support will be provided for the creation or strengthening of University Defenders at participating universities, guaranteeing access to effective mechanisms for resolving conflicts and protecting the rights of students.
Strengthening of University Defense networks: Collaboration and exchange of experiences between University Defenders in the region will be encouraged, with the objective of creating a solid and effective network for the defense of university rights.
It will work to raise awareness among the university community about the importance of human rights and the peaceful resolution of conflicts, creating a more respectful and inclusive academic environment.
The project follows a methodology of horizontal and participatory cooperation, with the objective of promoting involvement and ownership of the same by all members of the consortium. This approach combines an institutional and scientific logic, which allows the development of planned activities with a significant impact between academic authorities and student organizations. Furthermore, the scientific perspective will contribute to taking advantage of all the knowledge available in relation to university defenders and the defense and promotion of human rights, integrating into the activities and results of the project

TRAINING
It offers training opportunities (WEBINAR) to students, teachers, administrative staff and other members of the university community. In the second year of the project, a “MOOC de Formación para Defensores/as Noveles” was proposed, designed to be massive, with no limit of participants, and completely online. It will be available through the web and project networks, as well as on specialized platforms. Furthermore, it is an open, free course that can be followed without the need for synchronous interaction with the teacher. The objectives regarding the skills to be acquired are clearly defined in the academic program and are evaluable in this course format.
The project carries out investigations on topics related to human rights in Latin American universities, and presents its results in the creation of the “Libro Verde de las Defensorías Universitarias de América Latina”, which will be based on qualitative methodologies, which will allow accurate evaluation existing information on this topic. The objective is to map and categorize the public discourse about university defenders in the different countries of the region.
