The mission of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is to contribute to the improvement of society through teaching of the highest quality and cutting-edge research, in line with the strictest international guidelines. The University Ombudsman is a recently created body in the university field in Spain in compliance with Organic Law 6/2001, of December 21, on Universities. The Statutes of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and in its development the Regulations of Organization and Functioning of the Ombudsman attribute to it the mission of ensuring the safeguarding of the rights, freedoms and interests of the university community - teaching staff, administration and services staff and students - against any infringement of current legislation by the services and bodies of the University.
